The basis for the implementation of innovation is a full research and development cycle based on basic research verified by applied and industrial research. Chemical measurements are the basis for decision-making in the process of exchanging goods and services. Guaranteeing the quality of research, the high reliability of the measurement results obtained and ensuring metrological consistency on a global scale are among the important tasks of research institutions. These goals are pursued by the Chemical Laboratory for Multi-elemental Analyses (www.lcaw.pwr.wroc.pl), which operates within the Department of Advanced Material Technologies of the Faculty of Chemistry of Wrocław University of Technology. The laboratory has been accredited by the Polish Accreditation Center since 2005 (Accreditation Certificate No. AB 696). It is also a signatory to a multilateral agreement within the framework of international cooperation - ILAC MRA (International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation Mutual Recognition Arrangement), the purpose of which is the free flow of accredited research results worldwide.

The Laboratory conducts scientific research and implementation activities, including, among others, environmentally friendly and safe methods of producing fertilizers, determining the role and circulation of micronutrients and toxic metals in plant cultivation, breeding and the environment. The Laboratory's scope of accreditation includes studies of the elemental composition of materials such as water, foodstuffs, materials of plant and animal origin, soils, sludge, feed and feed additives, fertilizers and agrochemicals, wastewater and waste. Obtaining authoritative and reliable results is possible, among other things, thanks to the use of validated and standardized analytical methods and an extensive system for confirming the validity of results, which is an important component of the research quality assurance system. The wide range of the Laboratory's activities, high-end measurement equipment and skilled and experienced personnel are not only a great support for the Department's research teams, but also make the Laboratory an excellent partner for entities in various branches of the economy.
